The easiest way is to recommend products (mentioned in your video) using affiliate links. When someone purchases a product through your affiliate link, you get a commission from the sale. You’re basically promoting someone else’s product for a commission. I make $1,000/month doing this and it’s my second largest source of income next to SEO consulting.
Once you start getting a bit of traction and you're spending many hours a week doing this, that's when I'd recommend to start building affiliate links into your videos. It's the same case as making a new website- there's no point in adding ads to your page when you don't have any page views. Work on content first, then once you have a decent traffic stream, then start to work on monetization.
There is a variety of websites you can create using Walmart.com affiliate program as your referral for products. Some of these can be home decorating ideas you can do on a budget. You can share your favorite recipes and cooking ideas. Arts and crafting is easy to do as well as Walmart has a large selection of craft items available including fabrics!
Plan your video before you make it. Rambling is one way to make a long, over-saturated video that can cause your bounce rate to sky rocket (people clicking off the video). Make a script to follow (but give yourself for some improvisation) and also don't be afraid to cut out content you think is uninteresting or not relevant. No one wants to hear about your Gran's sixtieth birthday bash on a video unboxing the latest sneakers.
Walmart has differing commission rates depending on each product ranging from 1-4%. And while the percentage range is a bit lower than most sites which typically range between 4-5%, most customers going to Walmart.com end up purchasing quite a few products. So whereas on other sites they may only purchase 1 product, on Walmart customers typically purchase large quantities of products for their home/business use.
The world of commerce is shifting online and so is banking. Brick and Mortar banks like Bank of America or Wells Fargo offer staggeringly low Savings interest rates, which makes it almost useless to save money rather than place it through investments that are higher yielding. Still, having a bank account dedicated to emergency funds and similar preferences makes a Savings account what it is.
The process for Plus merchants and referrals is different than for regular referred Shopify plans, so your referral credit is not immediate. The Plus approval process can take a long time and will only show up on your account after the deal is closed. To learn more about the revenue that you're entitled to as a Shopify Affiliate, see Shopify Partner revenue share.
Like titles, one of the first images we see for your videos are thumbnails. Creating a good thumbnail is a delicate skill- you want to try and make the thumbnail stand out from the crowd but you don't want it to appear amateurish. Different niches have different standards for thumbnails. Gaming thumbnails will usually be very bright, big bubbly text and attempt to give off an "awe" factor. But informational videos will usually have simple thumbnails with elegant text so that they appear professional.

Hey, great article. It must have taken you a while to type out. So this is a cool case study, but do you know how to create ads in the make money niche? I wish there was a good video tutorial on this but I can’t find one. And how do you target people in the make money niche? It’s very hard to make ads in this niche without making income claims. Your thoughts would be appreciated. If you have any video tutorials or posts on this I would appreciate it.
14. Policies on TM-Centric URLs: Amazon turns down affiliates that “include any trademark of Amazon or its affiliates, or a variant of misspelling of a trademark… in any domain name” [source]. Walmart similarly warns affiliates against the use of “trademarks, or any variation or misspelling thereof, in metatags, hidden text or source code” or in their “domain name or any other part” of the URL [source].
This is so well put together, thank you! I’ve been spinning my wheels trying to figure out what affiliates to work with in my niche. My target audience is bloggers, and much of my content is free knowledge on how to grow a blog, but pushing a sale is just not what I want to do. But with this list I can really see that there are a lot of options to choose from. I do have an account with shareasale already, so I’m going to start there and see what other companies will work for my audience!

Time really is money at Amazon. If the user decides not to make a purchase within 24 hours of clicking your trackable link, you get nothing because the cookie code has already expired. On big ticket items like TV’s and refrigerators, this is very common. Additionally, if they don’t trust your site, they may simply exit the browsing session and go to Amazon directly, which also means you miss out.
